If you were to ask me a year ago where my favourite place was, I would probably say my bed. It’s been hard for me to find the energy and motivation to get up and go, that is until I found something to inspire me; travel. I know it’s a complete 180, finding it difficult to get out of bed and then wanting to travel the world. But once you find that spark, you can truly do anything. And it’s through this travel that I found my favourite place, New Zealand’s South Island.
Now, New Zealand is a beautiful country as a whole, but the South Island is almost magical! Everything about it is stunning; the landscape, the mountains, the rivers and waterfalls, the wildlife, and the crisp winter snow. I recently went on a holiday to New Zealand, and the South Island honestly felt like a dream the whole time we were there. We took a helicopter ride over the Franz Josef Glacier and even that was enough to win me over. And let’s not forget Milford Sound! There’s just something about the place that fills you with a sense of spiritual wonder that will last a lifetime. I can’t wait to go back over the ditch! Because trust me, there will be a next time.
