Assuming no computer also means no phone, life with no technology for me means getting outside and enjoying the beautiful nature we are so very blessed with. I love bush walking, hiking and exploring all sorts of outdoor escapes. I enjoy all sorts of nature walks, but I’ve also been interested in historic walks lately, like exploring the site of an abandoned mine, colliery or train line. I guess this would be an opportunity to be a little more adventurous and try out the more risky environments like caves and abseiling. I recently had a spark of bravery on one of my hikes for my blog posts that I’ll be uploading soon, and I actually really enjoyed it!

Getting outside would also mean enjoying the beautiful wildlife here in Australia. A lot of the walks we go on are surrounded by different bird species like finches, wrens, honey eaters and the classic kookaburras and lorikeets. I love watching birds be birds, and being able to sit down and enjoy them in their own homes for a while without any technology is such a peaceful and fulfilling experience. I’ve also seen a lot of blue tongue lizards and skinks, as well as a snake or two, which I wasn’t as happy to spot in the moment. But it’s a fun story to tell now that I made it back without any bites. There’s also the odd kangaroo and echidna I’ve seen on some walking trails I’ve been to! It just depends where you look.
